At MOSH, we always like to stay one step ahead of our customers, taking into consideration their wants, needs, and expectations (and then exceeding them!). Over the past year, we’ve taken all your feedback, questions, comments, and concerns, and turned them into something incredible: a retail-ready rebrand and new formulation of our protein bars that fuel your body and brain. 

Our bars are still the same bars you’ve known and loved since the beginning of MOSH, but we’ve made some major improvements. They’re even more delicious and nutritious than before, with new ingredients, texture, and taste we’re confident is going to blow your mind and tastebuds. Excited yet? Us, too. We get that with all this change, you might have some questions for us, and we’re ready to answer whatever you throw our way. Let’s talk all things rebrand!

Why did we change the look?

We changed our look to better align with what MOSH stands for: boldness, approachability, and functionality. This redesign journey has been a year-long endeavor filled with creativity, passion, and attention to detail (all the details!).

Our aim was to create a visual identity that not only catches the eye but also embodies the essence of who we are as a company. The new design is vibrant, modern, and expressive, reflecting our commitment to innovation and quality. Every aspect, from colors to the logo, has been carefully chosen to reflect our brand at its core.

Has the formula changed with the rebrand?

We've not only updated our packaging and brand image but also enhanced our formula to elevate your experience. Our protein bars now feature an advanced formulation, including our Signature Brain Blend fortified with Cognizin® Citicoline. This ingredient is clinically tested and known for its efficacy in supporting brain health by promoting attention, focus, and brain energy.*

We're excited about this upgrade as it underscores our commitment to delivering products that not only taste great but also provide tangible benefits to your well-being. Why did the sugar content change with the reformulation?

We adjusted the sugar content in our product to enhance its flavor profile based on extensive taste tests and customer feedback. There's been a slight increase from 1g to 3g of sugar per serving and we want to assure you that this change was carefully considered to improve taste without compromising our commitment to quality ingredients.

Throughout our reformulation process, we prioritized ingredients with a lower glycemic index than table sugar, ensuring our bars remain a wholesome choice for your dietary preferences. Our goal is to provide you with a delicious and satisfying snack that aligns with your health-conscious lifestyle.

How does Cognizin support focus and attention?

Cognizin provides essential nutrients like choline that are especially crucial for brain cells. To sustain your focus and concentration, your brain requires an adequate ongoing supply of energy and healthy communication between neurons. Cognizin supports healthy brain metabolism and helps provide phospholipids essential to healthy brain function.

What sweeteners do you use?

At MOSH, we're committed to crafting delicious and health-conscious products, and our choice of sweeteners reflects that dedication. We use high-quality, natural sweeteners such as Organic Agave, Steviol Glycosides (derived from Stevia), and Monk Fruit Extract. These ingredients allow us to achieve a perfect balance of sweetness in our bars while keeping sugar levels lower and remaining mindful of your health.

In some of our flavors like Lemon White Chocolate Crunch, Chocolate Brownie Crunch, Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch, and Cookies & Cream Crunch, you may also find a small amount of erythritol in the chocolate chips. Erythritol is a natural sugar alcohol that adds sweetness without the calories or impact on blood sugar levels.

Why do you use erythritol in some of your bars?

​​We include erythritol in some of our bars because it serves as a natural sweetener that allows us to deliver a delicious taste while maintaining a low sugar content. Erythritol is preferred for its minimal impact on blood sugar levels and its well-tolerated nature by most individuals.

Yes, with our recent reformulation, we've made slight adjustments to the macros of our bars, and these changes can vary slightly depending on the flavor. Rest assured, we've carefully balanced our ingredients to maintain the nutritional benefits you love while ensuring our bars remain delicious and satisfying.

The Women's Alzheimer's Movement (WAM) is the preeminent organization focused exclusively on women and Alzheimer’s. WAM was created to raise awareness around Alzheimer’s as a disease that discriminates against women, since two out of every three brains that develop Alzheimer’s belong to women–with women of color at even higher risk– and 2 out of 3 caregivers of all races and ethnicities being women as well. Until 10 years ago, the conventional thinking was that the higher incidence of Alzheimer’s in women simply reflected the fact that women tend to outlive men. That narrative was disrupted back in 2010, when WAM founder Maria Shriver partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association on a ground-breaking report challenging the assumption that age alone accounted for the higher number of women with Alzheimer’s. Ever since that seminal Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Takes on Alzheimer’s, WAM and Shriver have taken every opportunity to highlight the disproportionate and particular impact of Alzheimer’s on women. WAM's mission is to discover why Alzheimer’s discriminates against women and communities of color and to prepare women and their families for the impact of Alzheimer’s by providing them with information and tools to help prevent the disease.
