The Evolution of MOSH (So Far)

The Evolution of MOSH (So Far)

Over the years, we’ve grown a lot. It’s surreal to think we started with three flavors available only online, and now you can find MOSH at retail locations nationwide. You are an essential part of our journey in everything we do, so here’s a look at how MOSH has evolved.

It Started With a Simple Idea

Back in 2021, MOSH launched with three flavors and a big mission: to create snacks that support both brain and body. At the time, brain health wasn’t really part of the everyday wellness conversation. But for us, it was personal as we witnessed a loved one slowly lose his mind to Alzheimer’s. So we built MOSH to help you think more about your brain health and support Alzheimer’s research so no one has to witness a loved one struggle with this disease.

Then Came the Learning Curve

As more of you discovered MOSH, we learned. What you loved. What you didn’t. What you wanted more of. So, we kept working and asking ourselves, how can we make this even better?

In 2024, that led to one of our biggest updates yet:

  • We added clinically proven brain-supporting ingredients like Cognizin® Citicoline to support you to feel your best

  • We refreshed our packaging

  • We continued supporting the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, reaching $200K in donations

Those milestones defined who we were becoming as a brand and that changed everything.

We Thrive on Variety

If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ve probably noticed that we like to try new things. We’ve offered limited-time flavors based on your feedback and it’s a way for us to indulge in fun seasonal flavors. Some of our favorites that we’ve done in the past:

  • Mint Chocolate Crunch
  • Raspberry White Chocolate Crunch
  • Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip

The best part has been seeing your reactions. We were pleasantly surprised when some of these sold out way faster than expected. We’re always thinking of new flavors, so we’ll continue to mix it up.

Let’s Talk Ingredients (Because It Matters)

We know ingredients matter to you. They matter to us, too. That’s why we’re always listening to you and evaluating what goes into our bars and how it all comes together. That’s what drove the release of our plant-based protein line. We wanted to give vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free options so there’s something for those who have a hard time finding what they want at the store.

In April 2026, based on your feedback, we transitioned from erythritol-based chocolate chips to cane sugar chocolate chips in certain bars. That does mean a slight change in sugar (from 3g to 4g). What resulted is a bar that still tastes great with real ingredients and a cleaner label.

We’ll keep listening to the community and making improvements to deliver bars that match your pace.

From Online to Aisles Nationwide

One of the best parts of this journey has been seeing MOSH show up in more places. What started on our website is now:

  • On shelves at Sprouts, HEB, Ralphs, King Soopers, Shaws, and Jewel
  • Expanding into Target stores across the country

We’re still in awe when we walk into a store and see MOSH there. And honestly, none of it would have happened without you.

The Next Chapter: High Protein Bars

Most recently, we launched MOSH High Protein, enhanced with creatine. When we were developing High Protein, we kept coming back to creatine. It’s been a staple in the wellness community and it was a natural fit to pair it with more protein and our signature brain blend.

This one’s for the high performer, whether you’re always on the go, have trouble squeezing in lunch, or juggling all the demands of life. We wanted to give you a bar that can keep up. We built it for those who push hard so it’s there when you need a snack.

What Hasn’t Changed

If you take anything away from this, it’s this: We keep improving.

We’re always going to listen. And we’re always going to be transparent about what we’re doing and why. Because MOSH isn’t just something we make—it’s something we’re building with you in mind.

We’re Just Getting Started

There’s a lot more ahead. New ideas. New products. More ways to support your brain and body every day. And we’ll keep bringing you along for all of it.

The Women's Alzheimer's Movement (WAM) is the preeminent organization focused exclusively on women and Alzheimer’s. WAM was created to raise awareness around Alzheimer’s as a disease that discriminates against women, since two out of every three brains that develop Alzheimer’s belong to women–with women of color at even higher risk– and 2 out of 3 caregivers of all races and ethnicities being women as well. Until 10 years ago, the conventional thinking was that the higher incidence of Alzheimer’s in women simply reflected the fact that women tend to outlive men. That narrative was disrupted back in 2010, when WAM founder Maria Shriver partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association on a ground-breaking report challenging the assumption that age alone accounted for the higher number of women with Alzheimer’s. Ever since that seminal Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Takes on Alzheimer’s, WAM and Shriver have taken every opportunity to highlight the disproportionate and particular impact of Alzheimer’s on women. WAM's mission is to discover why Alzheimer’s discriminates against women and communities of color and to prepare women and their families for the impact of Alzheimer’s by providing them with information and tools to help prevent the disease. WAM envisions a future in which Alzheimer’s will no longer destroy the lives of women and their families. WAM works to change the future for women and Alzheimer’s by focusing on the four pillars: research, education, advocacy and clinical care. WAM funds critical gender based research to advance our knowledge of how Alzheimer’s affects women, educates the public about Alzheimer’s through summits, national polls, reports and educational guides. WAM advocates at all levels of government for policies, increased funding and other social, political and economic changes that will move the needle on Alzheimer’s. WAM provides on the ground services to give women the medical guidance they need to reduce their risk for developing the disease.

We recommend that pregnant or breastfeeding women contact their healthcare practitioner prior to consuming MOSH to ascertain whether consumption is safe.

MOSH protein bars are available to purchase online at www.moshlife.com, Amazon, Thrive Market, and select fine retailers including Erewhon Markets. MOSH is also now in Sprouts!
